business leads? People do this all the time and many companies have got their best business from these leads and have built up a large clientele through them as well. Although it can be a potential banana skin when it comes to expenditure and some people have spent a lot of money of fake or redundant leads that have not turned into a sale or any profit and therefore have to be put down as a loss. How can you avoid this, though?
Well no list of leads is going to be 100% successful. If you have a list of 100 leads you will not get 100 sales; indeed you might be unlikely to even get over half; however any sales that you do make – beyond the cost of the list – will be profit and extra revenue that you would probably not have got before. However if you buy a list of redundant leads then you stand the chance of not getting any sales from them whatsoever so there are a few tips available that can help you avoid this.
One would be to enquire about how the company actually compiles the leads that they are selling. Most places will use telemarketing or get information from websites that either sells your products or ones similar to them; this way they can compile accurate information about the customers in questions and what they have bought recently. Also ensure that the leads are up to date too so make certain to ask as to when the list was made. There is little point in buying leads that are a year old as the people will probably not want your products or service now and only up to date leads are likely to bring any sales at all.
