Air Force One Shoes-A Hybrid
Nike designer
Bruce Kilgore came up with the concept for the athletic shoe that is
called the Air Force 1. This shoe is commonly worn by the greats in
the NBA and were named after the aircraft that carries the President
of the United States around. The shoes are available in three
different styles: the low top, mid top and high top.
Air
Force 1 low shoes are worn by professionals in hospitals, office
workers and mail carriers as they are famous for being extremely
comfortable. The mid top and the high top model has a velcro strap to
secure the shoe and the strap can be removed on the high top model.
There are several
different colors available, but when shoe stores have
Air
Force 1 for sale, the quickest moving color combinations are the
white on white and black on black versions.
Some other
characteristics of the
Air
Force One shoes are the small medallion that is on the bottom of
the laces. This medallion has "AF-1" and "82"
engraved on it and the number signifies the year the shoe was first
produced.
Air Force 1 shoes
are very popular and are commonly worn by hip hop artists and street
round ball players. Rapper St. Lunatics and Nelly came together in
2002 and produced a single about the shoe. In all, there have been
1,700 color combinations of this shoe produced and this translates
into 800 million dollars of revenue for Nike.
