Motorola DROID A855 Android Phone
For those of us who either loved the iPhone but fell out of love later or who simply wanted a different alternative to the popular Apple device, the Motorola DROID A855 is an answer to many prayers.
Finally there is a phone that makes use of Google's Android system and really does it in fine style. Motorola makes a quality mobile phone for sure, but this DROID A855 definitely takes the cake and is just $20 if you go with the Verizon plan for the ultimate level of coverage. This smart phone has Android 2.0 installed and a slide out QWERTY keyboard which is what sold me on it right off the bat. Texting is a breeze and using the net is a whole lot easier with the slide out keyboard to work with. Google Maps for finding directions, Gmail for email and even Google Talk to chat are all huge services that the phone makes use of without any problems. You get Bluetooth connectivity plus a 5 mega pixel camera that also works as a camcorder to shoot video, too. It is a touch screen smart phone and the battery good, so far, for around 6 hours but I would not try to push it much past that without a re-charge.
This is definitely the best phone I have ever owned and using Verizon cuts off $480 from the price so it is definitely worth the cost of admission. In comparison with the iPhone, I have to say the Motorola DROID is a much more durable phone that has a lot more to offer in terms of features, too.
