HTC Touch HD-iPhone 3G's Toughest Competitor Yet
Apple's iPhone 3G has seen high sales figures and is very popular. It has been praised for its intuitive, fast and easy to use interface and many innovative features. But it also has been criticized for flaws such as inferior camera, limited Bluetooth and lack of flash support.
HTC touch HD is a touchscreen smartphone from HTC, released in November 2008, which competes with the iPhone 3G. The most notable feature of the HTC touch HD is its 3.8” WVGA screen, the largest for a smartphone yet, providing a maximum screen resolution of 480x800 pixels. Also notable is the internal memory of 288 MB RAM (512 MB ROM) and the 528 MHz processor, which combined make the HTC touch HD the most powerful smartphone in the market today. A variety of connectivity options including Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, a 5MP camera, FM radio and inbuilt GPS round out the impressive list of features.
HTC touch HD's advantages over the iphone include more processing power and storage (Up to 64 GB possible), a larger display, a better camera and many features not in the iPhone including flash support and MMS. However it's operating system (Windows mobile) and it's user interface (TouchFLO 3D) are comparatively inferior to the iPhone.
