Russian Immigration
Why are so many people trying to gain entry into Russia? At a time when many of the economies in Europe are either collapsing or are on the verge of doing so, Russia has been able to weather the storm relatively well and there is a level of growth that is not present in many of the other economies in the region. Indeed, in terms of its imports it has taken in around $300 billion worth of imported good annually for the last few years.
Also, in terms of
Russian immigration, the country is currently second in the world behind the USA when it comes to the number of people that they are letting into the country every year. Why is this though? Well, even though it has a strong manufacturing base it also has a population shortage, or rather a population decline, and this is freeing up jobs and making jobs available that would not be present in other countries. That being said, gaining a working visa is not the easiest of things to do in Russia.
The government has been trying to address the situation however and over the past few years they have been steadily ebbing away at the red tape that often engulfs the Russian system. While getting a tourist visa is straightforward enough, you won’t be able to work on this visa so making the step up can take a while and you need to through a lot of legal trouble to do so. However with the amount of foreign investment in the country growing all the time and the added need for workers to cover for its population shortage it is easier to see why the government has been forced to act and take steps to correct the situation.
